got an OK for X number of activations, & I would think it reasonable if their tech folks set the activation server to only work up to that number - the trial & the GOTD seem identical, & they don't want people using that serial number for the next several days, weeks, months.
I would think it reasonable if their sales dept. I don't know them - have never dealt with them as a customer - have never posted anything in their forums etc. GOTD has the most to lose, & judging by their reactions in the past when something like this happened, the GOTD team had nothing to do with it.
